What does it take to become a Navy SEAL?
Well, I have 15 years and really want to become a Navy SEAL. I'm in shape While I am a chubby 5 feet 9 inches and I weigh about 155. Need to know what's going to prepare to become a seal. My plan is to go to college and first passage OCS.
Do some research. There are tons of sites that will give you physical standards will be met. But the route we are considering not going to be easy. Each computer program with which I am familiar has a route Special Warfare has limits on the number that can be applied. Each will only send the cream of their crop particular candidates. So, going in as an officer severely limits their chances of entering the program. Second, while an enlisted guy who does not through another chance, an officer will not. Thirdly, being an officer is not like in the movies. This is hard work, long hours of frustration. Many of the boys were not can. When enlisted personnel blows after a day's work for ten hours, you knock off too. But while you are relaxing over a game letters … or watching television, or write letters home, you will be seated at a desk in his room trying to solve a problem that's been bothering you for all day, but which have not had the time to devote to finding a solution. Officers may have sectors that are less crowded than some boys enlisted, but have desks … for a reason. And sometimes, especially as a junior, will apparently not have the authority to fulfill responsibilities. However, if you're thinking about getting a title, you will discover that a good number of boys enrolled in the teams have titles. A college degree allows you to enter as an E-3 instead of an E-1. That gives you a jump on the year the children without education. The degree, if you are in a good "solid" theme, will help with everything academic material that will have to learn … if you are going to become a label or not. I enlisted at age 20 with a degree in Mathematics. I have it in three years and got the letter in swimming two years. I entered as an E-3. My degree (specializing in the Navy) picked me up at Boot Camp. When the time came for me reenlist for my E-6, someone dusted off my degree and recommended me for OCS. I took the opportunity and retired at age 45. Before you get too excited, that does not happen frequency. I was just lucky to be at the right place at the right time … and I happened to have a school that made me eligible to be considered for a program computer. Want to know what your competition is? I used to swim laps with a SEAL / SWCC recruiter. It would take about half an hour to do 2K. He was training your child for SEAL. I saw the child run 500, 500 swim, do 50 pushups, 50 crunches, and 20 pull-ups … and then do it again … in the same half hour. The boy was about 13 at the time. Preparation: People will tell you to get in shape. Yes, that. But not only that. Excel in everything you do … school, sports, work, church, community service … everything. Stay out of trouble … any problems … and keep away from children who tend to get into trouble. Discard phrases like, "I'm not sure …" and "I do not think I can." Get rid of even the thought. Replace with: "Consider it done." Maybe someday you'll join replace it with a "Yes, yes, sir." SEAL is not a "I think I'll give it a try" kind of thing. SEAL is a "being." SEAL is a doing. " M
